How can you live without a temporary kitchen?

How to Survive Without a Makeshift Kitchen

If you have to ask this question, you should probably not be trying to live without one. A kitchen is one of the most important rooms in a home, and it is not a place where you should skimp. However, if you are unable to use your usual kitchen facilities, there are alternatives. Here are some suggestions for making do:

Camp Stove – Prepare a temporary kitchen in a location such as your garage, basement, or utility room (ideally, somewhere with a sink). Designate an area for food preparation, cooking, and cleanup. You may even want to consider setting up lawn chairs and/or folding tables for dining. Keep frequently used kitchen items in clear plastic storage containers with labels.

Bulletin Board – Make a bulletin board in your temporary kitchen to keep track of the remodeling progress. This will help you stay organized and motivated as you countdown the days until your new kitchen is complete.

Food Storage – Stock up on non-perishable food items that can be easily prepared without using your stove or oven. Consider investing in a small cooler or mini fridge to store perishables such as dairy, meat, and produce. And don’t forget the paper plates!

Remodeling your kitchen can be a stressful experience, but it doesn’t have to be if you’re prepared. By following these tips, you can make do with a makeshift kitchen until your new one is ready.
